what/where/how
All of my work takes place outdoors where I use the beauty of natural light and often, the aid of an outdoor flash, to make your headshot sing.
We'll meet for 30 minutes at an agreed upon location. I am based in Pacifica and can recommend several locations nearby. There is an extra fee ($50/hour) for travel to distances such as the East Bay. (I do not shoot in San Francisco due to the high rate of camera theft).
As I take photographs, I will guide you through best poses and periodically review the shots with you to help you fine-tune the look you want.
You are welcome to bring a change of clothes (such as a different jacket or cardigan).

rates and deliverables
For $329 you will receive all of the best photos from the shoot (typically at least 10), all lightly edited (corrected for crop, exposure, light, shadow, and color). All are delivered as high resolution files. Of those, you can choose 1 to be fully retouched.* Additional retouched photos are $39 each. (Note: if I'm invoicing an organization, costs are + 10%).
I offer a discount for educators and those working for non-profits: pricing for graduate students and lecturers is $289 and for K-12 teachers, assistant professors, and non-profits, $309.
I will send you your gallery within 3 business days of our shoot. Turnaround times for full retouching are 5 business days per photo.

*Retouching is a detailed, artistically-informed process used to enhance portraiture by smoothing skin, masking blemishes, enhancing eyes, and so forth. My approach is to bring out your natural beauty.
